Last week, TEC was present at the largest e-commerce event in the country, the Brazil E-commerce Forum. In its 15th edition, the event brought together more than 28,000 participants and presented the main trends that are shaping the future of marketing.
What does the future hold for marketing?
Certainly, technology came to your mind, but the future of marketing is much more than that. The marketing of the future is people-to-people. That's what Professor Silvio Meira, chief scientist at The Digital Strategy Company, defended in his talk on the Marketing and Sales stage.
In the past, communication was linear, from those who speak to those who listen. We currently live in a network system that allows diverse people to interact, redefining personal relationships and markets. A New Medium — CRISC: Connections, Relationships, Interactions, Meaning, and Culture. Communities are present in phygital spaces (physical + digital). The phygital world is increasingly intrinsic and this requires a true revolution in marketing. Forget the traditional funnels and marketing you used to know.
Future marketing is about creating interactions in communities, with the objective of providing experiences, understanding markets, and personas. DYNAMISM is what will guide this new reality.
Artificial Intelligence (AI)
Leave the repetitive tasks to the robots — it's time to focus on strategy and creativity. AI is revolutionizing marketing by automating operational tasks, allowing marketers to focus on what really matters: building relationships and developing innovative campaigns. Those who do not adapt to this new reality will be left behind in the competitive scene. The marketing of the future belongs to those who embrace change and use AI as a strategic ally.
No, you're not old for TikTok
TikTok is a fundamental channel for discovering new products and MUST be a central part of your social strategy. Soon, we will have the arrival of the TikTok Shop in Brazil, a feature that automatically identifies products in videos and indicates similar products to viewers, taking them to a separate product page. In the USA, a few months after its launch, the company already has more than 200,000 sellers and aims to reach 17.5 million dollars in sales in the market by 2024.
Live Commerce
Live commerce, or live commerce, is a sales strategy that combines live broadcasts with direct interaction with consumers. During a live show, the presenters show products, explain their features and benefits, and answer questions in real time, creating a more engaging and dynamic shopping environment. Shopee, for example, broadcasts more than 500 lives a day and multiplied its sales by 10 times in the first half of the year alone.
Social Commerce
This trend combines social networks and online shopping. Consumers discover products and make famous reviews directly on the platforms. This integration is the focus: studies from Edge by Ascential report that 97% of consumers say that reviews influence their purchase decision.
Marketing is increasingly dynamic and focused on human interaction. Technologies like AI and emerging platforms like TikTok are redefining how we connect with consumers. Tools such as live commerce and social commerce are revolutionizing online sales, making the shopping experience more interactive and personalized. To remain competitive, it is essential to embrace these innovations and adapt your strategies to new trends.
